Game Summary
Mario and his friends are together again to play baseball, this time on the Wii. This time Mario and his friends have to stop Bowser and Jr. Bowser from taking over all the ball parks. This is done simply by playing baseball. Of course, some of the rules are slightly altered Mario-style. The Wii-Mote is used for batting and pitching and the controls work really well. My son had a blast playing this game and if you are a fan of Mario and a fan of baseball then you will probably want to check out Mario Super Sluggers.
What Parents Need to Know
Violence
In typical Mario fashion there is some silly cartoon like violence that comes in the form of things like throwing shells, banana peels and bombs at opposing players. When it comes to close calls you can do things like punch, stomp or kick the player out of the way.
Language
There are no bad words in Mario Super Sluggers.
Sexual Content
There is not any inappropriate sexual content in Mario Super Sluggers.
Spiritual Content
One of the baseball fields is located at Luigi’s Mansion where you play in a graveyard that has some ghosts. There is also a character called King Boo who is a ghost. (Think ghost like Casper the friendly ghost.)

Justin age 11 says he likes how it makes you feel you are actually swinging the bat and pitching the ball.
Reviewer's Thoughts
Super Mario Sluggers is a fun baseball game for the Wii. The controls take a few games to get used to, but once you have the hang of it, it is in the words of my son “ultra super fun.” If you are looking for an arcade type baseball game that the whole family can enjoy then look no further than Mario Super Sluggers.
